- This is one of the oldest known records of life on Earth. Stromatolites are layered structures formed by communities of cyanobacteria. Over billions of years, their photosynthesis helped fill Earth's atmosphere with oxygen, leading to the Great Oxidation Event around 2.4 billion years ago.

My sister's cancer diagnosis taught me that life is too short, and that it's also a cosmic inside joke.
“Life is a cosmic joke.” You've heard that saying plenty of times before. But that's not the full quote. The full quote is, “Life is a cosmic inside joke.”
Because you're either in on the joke and laughing with it, or you're not in on the joke and you're getting laughed at by it.
People call life a joke because it is full of absurd contradictions. Nothing matters because you're going to die. Someone could take that and be suicidal. Another person could take that and live life free and full of happiness.
Every time you want something really bad and you get it, you just want something else. Desire is the root of all suffering, yet all the human ego does is desire. You're set up for failure. It's hilarious.
Life is a lose-lose scenario, unless you get in on the inside joke and laugh at everything and make it a win-win scenario because you realize nothing matters that much. You just live for the experience and stop trying so hard.
You realize that the universe is always conspiring in your favor, and it's got a little bit of a dark comedic touch. Your beliefs shape your reality. So if you have a bad reality, it's because you have bad beliefs.
Believe that every moment is taking you towards the best version of yourself, and laugh off the rest.
- Wood is rarer than diamond in the universe. Sharks are older than trees, older than grass, and older than Saturn's rings. The universe is still a mystery to us, and it's a privilege we get to poke at it from our little pale blue dot.
- If you pay attention, you can still see the ape in some people's faces. But do not be mistaken, this is an evolutionary ode to joy.
- Unlearning is just as important as learning.
